Hello

My desire for the creative life has led me to the streets of Paris, the boroughs of New York, the galleries of Berlin and always to the shores of the West Coast. I am inspired by living a simple life, rich in culture. I am drawn to cities where dogs sleep below cafe tables, where books and art grace the walls of homes and where the world slows down for a meal shared with friends.

I've made my home on beautiful Vancouver Island. My studio and home, a hundred-year-old character house, acts as the canvas for every photograph, recipe and dinner party.

I invite you to read my blog, view my portfolio and please get in touch if you're interested in working together.

Sisters. Story tellers. Music makers and kindred souls. When these girls sing, it awakens something deep with in you.

Last week, we had the pleasure of listening to the sisters, Joseph, as they played their first Canadian show. We cozied up in the back of the bar and talked with Natalie, the eldest sister, while sipping wine and sharing stories until they began their set.

During their show, Tara and I kept looking at each other in total disbelief of what we were hearing. Their voices weave together in ways only sisters can.

Discovering their music just shy of a year ago, Tara reached out to Natalie to participate in our creative Q&A series and we have been listening to their debut album on repeat in the studio ever since. When we found out the sisters would be making a stop on the island, we immediately bought tickets and invited them over for tea. The girls arrived the morning after their show thankful for strong black coffee and muffins with homemade jams. The conversation was easy. We talked about our beginnings, experiences and where we dream to go. Albeit a short gathering, the inspiration that came from a group of women huddled around a table, sharing food, stories and a desire for creating is something we are sure not to forget.
